Inspiring professional designers to become more participatory is not an easy process. This is why I work a lot with design students all around the world. Here, I get them to experiment in co-creative design methods during their study with the belief that they will adopt this alterative design methodology into their practice. I also develop capability-building programmes using design-thinking methods to engage other disciplines and the general public. By doing this I can enable non-cognate communities to design with designers so that co-creative processes can occur in a broader context.
